Catching Up!

So, it's been quite a while since I last blogged and decided I should catch up on everything that's been going on with the Langbeins.

The most exciting news is that we got a PUPPY!!!! He's an absolute handful but we're in love with him and are having so much fun. Well waking up in the middle of the night and potty training aren't all that fun but we're still glad he's a part of our family.

Introducing HARLEY LANGBEIN...................

Isn't he adorable!!!!

This was the drive home after picking him up from the breeder.

Mr. Harley is a miniature Australian Shepherd.

He was born December 27, 2009

He enjoys naps with his Daddy....

And naps with his football!

I love my Daddy!

And my mommy!!

Needless to say this little guy keeps us busy but we're loving every minute with him.

Weekend Recap (a day late)....

Hello friends!! Well it was another low key but fun weekend. Friday night we enjoyed some BBQ (I'm a true Texas gal and love me some BBQ) and then spent a quiet evening at the house.

We had to get up fairly early on Saturday morning because we had a date to meet this little guy!!!
We met with the breeders for about an hour. They filled our heads with lots of good info on Australian Shepherds. Of course that precious face melted our hearts but I still wasn't 100% sure if we could commit to having a dog. Well, we didn't even get out of the parking lot before Matt turned around. We parked the car, went back in and put a deposit down.
Come this weekend this cutie will be the newest addition to our family. We get to bring *Harley* home on Sunday! I can't wait to snuggle up to this little cutie.

The rest of the weekend was spend running errands and doing things around the house like ripping out the tile backsplash in our kitchen. Here's my handsome hubby being a handyman.

The previous owners had an artist come in and hand paint colorful roosters on the tiles!! Oh my it was terrible and I'm so glad they're gone! I was also so proud of Matt for tackling this project himself! Hopefully we can make a decision for our new backsplash soon. If anyone has any tile/backsplash suggestions I'd love to hear them. I love, love white subway tile, its so clean and classic, but we already have enough white going on in our kitchen and need some color!

We spent Sunday night at home with a yummy dinner and the Super Bowl. Here's our delicious meal

My awesome hubby grilled us these delicious steaks and I prepared the sides. Team work!!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Weekend Recap

So, it wasn't the most exciting weekend ever but it was still fun. Friday night we headed over to the "charming bungalo" (aka Burns' and Jess') for our monthly dinner club. This month was a little different though because we all brought our dates, hubbies, boyfriends, etc. The theme was heavy appetizers and I must say all the food was DELICIOUS!!!! It was a fun night with good food, lots of wine and awesome company.

Saturday we got up early and headed to Rockwall to watch my boss' daughter's swim meet. I hadn't been to a high school sporting event in a loooong time but it was actually a lot of fun.

Saturday night we headed here to meet our friends Terry and Lauren for a yummy dinner.

Sunday we once again had to get up early to meet with our electrician. We had to get our entire electrical panel replaced (fun stuff). He was at our house for about seven hours trying to rewire everything. I think it's safe to say that our old house was one of his more difficult upgrades. Nothing in this house has been easy to upgrade or replace - guess that's what happens when you buy an older home though.

Well, that about covers our weekend. So glad Monday is almost over with!
